IMF & DCP package viewer
What’s in it, and is it whole?
Drop an IMF package or a DCP folder and see what it holds: each composition on a timeline with its tracks, segments or reels, and markers; every asset the packing list names, present or missing, the right size or not; and the SHA-1 hashes checked against the packing list when you ask. Structural problems are listed first, each in plain words with the SMPTE clause it comes from. Drop only the XML for a quick look without the media. Everything is read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Drop an IMF or DCP package folder, or only its XML files
Or drop a folder or files here. Files are read in your browser and never uploaded.
What it reads
- The package XML in full: ASSETMAP, VOLINDEX, packing lists (PKL), composition playlists (CPL) and, for IMF, output profile lists (shown, not checked).
- Only the header of each MXF track file: a few kilobytes, so a feature-length package opens in seconds. That’s enough to check the file is the one the CPL means, its edit rate and duration, and how its picture or sound is described.
- Every byte, but only when you ask: checking hashes reads each file once to compare its SHA-1 with the packing list. The page shows the speed and how long is left.
Missing, or not in this drop?
A file the ASSETMAP points to that isn’t there is missing. A track file the CPL plays that nothing in the drop lists at all is not in this drop: that’s normal for a supplemental IMF package or a DCP version file, whose media lives in the original version. Drop the original alongside it and the composition resolves.
What it doesn’t do
It doesn’t decode pictures or sound, verify XML signatures (signed CPLs and PKLs are reported as signed), decrypt encrypted track files, or judge a package against any broadcaster’s or platform’s delivery specification. For full conformance use Netflix Photon for IMF, and ClairMeta or DCP-o-matic’s dcpverify for a DCP.
