Podcast cover art checker

Will Apple and Spotify take it, and can anyone read it?

Drop your show cover, episode art or chapter art. It’s checked against what Apple Podcasts and Spotify publish, then shown at the sizes their players draw it, down to a 48-pixel thumbnail. Checked in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

What the platforms publish

Apple Podcasts: square, PNG or JPEG, from 1400×1400 to 3000×3000 pixels for show and episode art sent through your feed, with the largest preferred. Artwork “cannot contain transparency and should not contain an alpha channel”. Chapter art is given as 3000×3000.

Spotify: square, PNG or JPEG, “at the highest resolution available”. No pixel figures.

Neither publishes a colour space or a file-size limit. You’ll see “RGB, under 512 KB” in host guides; it isn’t on Apple’s pages. Your host may have a limit of its own. CMYK is flagged anyway: it’s a print colour space, and every app converts it to screen colours its own way.
